Sweida is a city still grieving the horrific trauma from the massacre in July, and there has been no justice. And the transitional authorities are absolutely responsible for carrying out the massacre.

The news in Syria gets worse and worse every single day. I honestly don’t know how so many Syrians can hold so much ongoing trauma and precarity and still keep going on with their day.

Seeing Syrians who were against state violence under Assad but now support it under Sharaa’s rule was not something I expected to be honest. It’s also incredibly infuriating and disappointing to say the least.
Trump’s “board of peace” is max neoliberalism. It’s a privatized UN with only one shareholder - the US president.
