During covid, I did ESL tutoring online with Sorani dialect Sunni Kurds In the autonomous region in Iraq. They knew of "little Kurdistan" in Nashville. The majority of Kurds that I taught became great friends. I'm livid about this regime attempting to take any sort of liberty with them!

My understanding is that now that so much pressure has been applied, they are capitulating a little and talking about sending out some charter planes. We'll see how far that goes beyond talk. There are over 1 million Americans living in the Middle East.
