It wasn't "cancel culture" when women and people of color got used up, silenced, and dismissed before their careers even began. It only became "cancel culture" when powerful abusers started having established careers momentarily inconvenienced by revelations of what they'd done.

The Israeli regime is fascist and genocidal. The population supports the regime's actions at more than 80% in most polls. You don't have to argue with people online when these are facts.

Had considered reserving this caption for squirrel photos but I was too tired to get them off my camera yesterday.

And today I'm too tired to come up with another caption, so:

"Oh to be an albino squirrel bouncing through a swamp right now"

I just bought the ebook and am going to refamiliarize myself with it, but I wish I could find my hard copy as it had relevant passages underlined and my margin notes.

β€œHis forays had a particular texture to them; it was as though the image of him were not that of someone walking in the dark, as though his feet were not touching the ground. He seemed like a shadow, like the projection of a dream.” TomΓ‘s Downey, Diving Board

Having been enchanted by the novels of Elizabeth Taylor I fully expect to be swept away by her short stories, too. #booksky

I live in Brampton and our mayor, Patrick Brown uses his wife & kids as props. He sends out a newsletter & the majority of the photos include his kids. No one else does that. It is so off-putting. I recall 1 of the women who accused him said he told her he needed a family for his political image.

I’m tired of living in a shit hole city where the municipal and provincial governments are fucking corrupt and have entirely lost the plot.

they knew they could get away with it because they practiced all those times on the β€œnarco-terrorist” boats, where they also killed the survivors, and nobody sent them to The Hague about it so they are running completely unchecked right now with full use of the arsenal. I do not know how this ends

The entire world is watching an unhinged, malignant narcissistic clown start an unauthorized war based on fabricated intelligence and his β€œgut feelings.” Such a terrifying timeline we are living in.
