If Carney was serious about this, his recent trip to Asia would’ve also included visits to Japan & South Korea rather than speaking about a “New World Order” with China.
We also would see a simple “get it done” on pipelines to supply LNG to fellow democracies.
We’re not seeing action yet.

Until now, THE major risk around the frozen assets wasn’t that using Russia’s money against it would:
-break international law (it doesn’t)
-jeopardize the euro (again, no)
-escalate the conflict (nope)
It was that $300 bn could go back to Russia. This stops that.
