either it's disturbing that people think this way and the world is a terrible place, or we can appreciate the stranger's support. I choose to focus on the latter.

I just walked out of dinner with people who claimed to like the current state of the world. We requested a to-go box, paid, and left without eating. I felt vindicated, especially when a stranger from another table chased after us to agree with our actions. This situation can be viewed in two ways:

right?!!! They are so ridiculous that they just make sweeping lists without seeing meaning but also the words they are canceling for the meaning they are so concerned about is mind boggling and I proudly will discuss with my students.

So I counted and I proudly use at least 44 of these words in my classroom on a regular basis and not planning on changing that!

It might be hard to resist buying other things, but it could be worth it for these amazing Black-owned businesses.

Sure, it’s important to stay away from stores with those reversed DEI policies, but let’s try to find and support Black-owned businesses within the store. It’s a great way to show our support and solidarity.

Know your neighbors. Get closer to the likeminded ones and do not say a word to the Trumpers. Not in a “snarky teenage” way, but in a we need to be “looking over our shoulders” way! Take care good people.

I am terrified by this. I passionately teach so that my students can see themselves as members of a bigger community. My school and students need the support that come from the department of education and this would be devastating

I really think it’s important that we need to take these to heart. I am consciously focusing on 12 and 14. we need to build our community. Look closely at all of these,though.

I think it’s saying that being kind is not enough we must take action and be anti…. Actively being an ally.
