So, Republican votes weren't a factor?

This is like when the Capitol Hill press gallery reports that the Senate rejected a progressive bill, when in fact, the vote was 58-42 in favor of the bill.

Is a BS analogy. Pure tendentiousness.

Jay Silverheels leaning around the corner of a rough adobe wall, wearing a fringed buckskin-style shirt and a thin headband across his forehead. His dark hair is combed back. He holds a revolver in his right hand while looking cautiously to the right. Behind him are stacked adobe bricks and a wooden doorway, creating a Western-style setting.

Jay Silverheels was a gifted Canadian lacrosse player who turned to acting.
While he gained fame as Tonto in The Lone Ranger, he disliked how the character was written.
So, he chose to use his fame to help other Indigenous actors in Hollywood.
This is his story.

It may surprise you to learn that you do not have a monopoly on values. It's arrogant to the point of absurdity to claim that prime minister Carney has no values.

Yes! People constantly use "humbling" when what's happened to them is aggrandizing, the opposite of humbling.

You're right that there was a lot of criticism of the appointment. Out of curiosity, do you agree with the critics? Was JFK wrong to appoint RFK? Do you think RFK made a bad attorney general?

No, you're arguing with someone who disagrees with you on a matter of principle, apparently a new experience for you.

In any case, she's gone now, thank heavens.

JFK appointed his brother Attorney General. What a shameful act of nepotism! They had been brothers for 35 years! No other interviews!

Your position is beyond silly. All cabinet ministers appoint political and communications advisors. They have broad latitude to do so.

The bomb shift was in international waters, 2,000 km from Iran. This was a significant widening of the scope of the conflict. A change that occurred without warning.

What on Earth is sinister about this timeline? She became DHS secretary '25, and she hired him in that same year. Do you imagine that a newly inaugurated cabinet secretary would not appoint a lot of people upon assuming office?

On the bedroom-equipped plane masquerading as a deportation vehicle, you absolutely have a point.

And, to be clear, Kristy Noam is a despicable human being. If first prize was a chance to sleep with her, you'd hope and pray to place second.

They are consenting adults having sex. Spare us the "but he's a subordinate!" whinging. Scarlet letter pandering is unworthy of Democrats.

She hired an advisor. Cabinet ministers have wide discretion when hiring political advisors.

Kim Jong-un and Xi Jinping smiling together

Kim Jong-un and Xi Jinping smiling together

Xi: Did you hear?

Kim: No...

Xi: The Americans are moving air defense systems out of South Korea!

Kim: What? No way!

Xi: Yes!

Kim: Amazing. How'd you do that?

Xi: I didn't do anything. They started a war with Iran, told themselves it'd be easy, and didn't do the math on interceptors.

Kim: Ha!

I can't stand. Kristy Noam. She's repugnant. But I'm afraid I'm in the "It's repugnant" camp. Who cares who she's sleeping with? Flip the part affiliation, and the same commenters would be outraged at the same question.

It's disgusting that we are even considering deportation. He served his sentence without complaint. Cruelty and vengeance should not be Canada's MO.

John Manley: Man responsible for Humboldt Broncos crash paid his debt to society and should not be deported Further punishment of Jaskirat Singh Sidhu is not warranted

Former Deputy PM John Manley thinks the Humboldt truck driver should be allowed to stay in Canada.

"Are we a nation that is punitive, vengeful and mean-spirited, or are we a country that can demonstrate mercy, compassion and forgiveness?

I didn't say that. You DID say that the whole point of bike Lanes was to improve the driving experience for motorists.

Crosswalks is an entirely different debate.

With respect, I don't think that's the whole point of bike lanes. Spend any time watching social media discussion of bike lanes, and you'll see that the welfare of drivers is not top of mind for cycling advocates.

Nor is anyone advocating "just killing cyclists." That's just tendentiousness.

Bike counters did what the lobby group that installed them, Hfx Cycling Coalition, designed them to do: overcount bikes.

This is a matter of disagreement. Perhaps Council should hire an independent accounting firm to determine how much the existing network is used in each season of the year.

This could be a powerful argument if only the predicates were true. Unfortunately, in both cases they are false.

The predicate to my argument β€” that bike lanes in Halifax are conspicuously empty most of the time, even in summer β€” is demonstrably true.
