Do historical strategy games perpetuate, or challenge, historical characterisations of Hannibal Barca? How does this compare to Carthage itself alongside the role of the player in gameplay?
I'm excited to be presenting some of my research at Bristol's Classics and Ancient History seminar next week!

It was a real pleasure to write this, and has long been something I've wanted to give thought to.
If you're interested in Total War, historical games or especially Carthage, feel free to have a read!

Hi @sesamescholar.bsky.social, just stumbled across your comments on the back of Bob's post. I'm a PhD student just starting out working on Carthage in games so if your student might be interested in reaching out to someone at a similar point in their journey I'm more than happy to help!
