But the betas are just the tip of the iceberg in my opinion. There are just so many amazing full art and even non full art basic lands. Like Neon Dynasty, Lost Caverns, and even Urza’s Saga. Idk just kind of something I’ve noted. This applies less to OG players who played beta obvi lol.
Late night mtg thought, but a while ago I saw this article about the basic lands that were run in decks for the pro tour. It got me thinking about the expression of art choice and all that and it really bums me out that so many modern players only run the beta basic lands. Yes they’re iconic…

First time playing standard yesterday and I decided to do it at a store championship. I build izzet lessons and went 1-3 lol. Games 1-3 were tough and I was really feeling not having practiced for the event. But by game 4 I started to understand and was able to secure at least one win.
