My first infection since starting the meds that compromise my immune system. 6 days in now. I'll get back to woodworking stuff eventually.
All I can think of is Monty Python and "I'm not dead yet!"

Last night in Rogers, AR we saw Weird Al. We've seen him before, and knew he was a showman. @puddlespityparty.bsky.social absolutely killed it. If you haven't checked him out, do it!

@puddlespityparty.bsky.social My wife and I saw you last night in Rogers, AR at the AMP, and were right behind the guy watching baseball during your set. Your reaction was perfect. He left! Lol. You nailed it. Amazing set. We hope to see you again!
A collection of craftsman router bits.
My wife found this set of Craftsman bits for $4. She is a keeper.

Both are very nice, but I'm really digging that flame maple.
A multi-color drumhead newly installed on a djembe drum. Purples with spots of blue.
Drum stuff! This past week was busy! Here is the new head on a 13" djembe (not laced yet in this pic). It sounds good, too.

A bee covered in pollen
Found this guy hanging on the deck railing yesterday. I'm guessing that pollen came from the Rose of Sharon next to our house.

Newly completed ashiko shells ready for color.
Drums on the rack ready for color!
BTW - if you put googly eyes on equipment, the equipment must be named. The drill press on the right is Phyllis Driller.

Yeah, I hibernated from social media for a bit. Gotta take time to refocus occasionally. :)
Stave-constructed ashiko drum shells ready for more sanding and shaping.
DRUM stuff!
Ashikos in the works. Initial sanding has been done. Now to cut the bearing edges, then final sanding and details before color.

A pir chart describing all the things we do in woodworking that aren't actually woodworking.
Now if you will excuse me, I have misplaced that tool I need...

Two multicolored pens with yoga markings. Made from a type of mango wood.
Been out for a bit. I'm back. Please hold back your thunderous applause and check out these cool pens I turned today. I'll get more #drum stuff up soon.

1 of the 2 djembes tht are currently in the workshop for new heads.
2 djembes in the workshop for new heads this week. This is one. I forgot to get pics of them before removing the old head, as usual. Both should be dry and ready for lacing tomorrow.

Two bottle stoppers made from Spectraply
Back at it! 2 new bottle stoppers. Wear your ppe. I would have caught a chunk of this to the face if I hadn't been wearing my face shield thing.

See you on the other side, Terry. #fuckcancer
Absolutely. And the ones you think will go fast are still in inventory. And don't you DARE try to reverse your thinking to game the system. It knows. Anytime I have tried, it has flipped me like a pancake. ๐
I take it, along with my other merchandise, to my local farmer's market, and hope that someone else really likes it. It works most of the time. What isn't the best in our eyes fits wonderfully in other people's lives.
I just started ESO, and so far it reminds me of Oblivion more than Skyrim. Maybe its the area I am in, I don't know. I'm still figuring out which end is up and how to use the map. lol
It's gonna dress it up real nice out there.
A sliding fence on a table saw with a micrometer handle welded in an adjustable position to better set the angle for repeated cuts.
A micrometer attached to a piece that pivots on the frame of my sliding table. I attach the fence, swing up the micrometer and tighten, adjust to the desired number, pull the fence back and tighten in place.
Do you have a unique setup that works for your projects?

Sawdust gathered in such a way it resembles a desert landscape.
Check out the surface of Venus as seen by my wooden, crank-powered space exploration vehicle!
Wait. Nope. That's the sawdust in the bottom of my table saw. Exciting stuff.

I saw a new post today, and thought I would post the post on Bluesky. While I am not the original poster, and did not put the post in place, I did take a picture of the post to post here, and I am pretty positive I am the first. Please like and repost this post.

An ashiko drum in the process of being laced. A wooden tool is used to create spacing in the ring lacing to allow the tension lacing to pass through.
Working in the drum shop. Lacing it up.

Not exactly woodworking, but still part of the hand drum making process. These are for the smaller ashikos.
