USPS building covered with lots of tagging. Looks a little bleak.
Rabbits mural right up the block- painted in 2023 for Metro Transit. More murals- Let's goooooo!
I think the USPS at 2811 University Ave SE should have me paint a mural here. I painted one up the block for Metro Transit, and they could be matchymatchy.
Who is in charge of such decisions?
Thank you Jeebus that I have Mondays off. (This is because I work every other weekend.)
If there’s karate guys or killer bees too? Great. Bring it.
Whee! I remember sitting in a line to get gas with my dad in the 1970s. I cannot wait to repeat the experience. /s
Btw, Lakewinds Co-op has some excellent brussel sprouts for sale right now.
Chicken and veggies (multicolored potatoes, carrots, onion halves, and brussel sprouts) all ready to go in the oven.
Everything all roasted and smelling delicious.
Something that I have realized over the last year is how easy it is to roast a whole chicken w/veggies. And the bones and leftover chicken along with a few carrots and onions and garlic makes a wonderful broth for dinner the next day. I’m finally understanding why my mom did this for Sunday dinner.
Thank god that’s done.
Accountability post:
My body is in a ton of pain, but I need to empty the garbages, vacuum the downstairs, run to the co-op, and make dinner.
If you see me on here before I post these things are done, please nag me.
A dark tortoiseshell cat and a brown tabby cat sit on my table staring me down while I’m eating yogurt.

a metal robot arm extends from the top right of the frame, holding a plastic kitchen brush with bright white bristles out toward a very large, dark red squid just behind it. the squid's arms are splayed open, with the bright white suckers facing outward
hey did you know that a viable way to get a DNA sample from cephalopods is to literally scrape them with a kitchen brush
this is ROV SuBastian from the Schmidt Ocean Institute deploying the KBOS (Kitchen Brush Of Science) on a megalocranchia which is understandably less than thrilled 🧪🦑

the algorithm saw into my heart and said “ah ah ah, no you are not, dipshit.” and served me this video of a woman doing basically *exactly* what I’d been thinking of doing. she worked so hard for over a year and came up with about 24” of usable linen yarn at the end. amazing! but also I’m tired.
Yum.
One minute of the Grain Belt Beer sign and a train crossing the Mississippi River in Minneapolis
Dinner is going to be late tonight, as I couldn’t get my ass in gear to cook, but it truly smells amazeballs. We’re having lemon garlic chicken with basmati rice and sautéed asparagus.
It do be like this sometimes
Yeah, all I can say is thank goodness for Lane Bryant and Lands End—those two stores have been my saving grace so many times.
this made me cackle all the way through
Cats are all, “No clocks, no masters!”
I was quite the rebel going with an amethyst for a wedding ring stone, when we got married coming up on 35 years ago.
A square cut amethyst ring surrounded by diamond chips being worn on my ring finger.
My wedding ring:
I just snapped those up! J’adore l'améthyste.
The recall includes rice and dumpling products at Trader Joe's and Krogers.
After an investigation, it was found that the carrots used in the products were the likely source of the glass fragments.
No, the source was insufficient food safety procedures.
