Hey board gamers - your feelings an opinions about games are being turned into slop.

There's a channel called Board Game Critique. All their videos are clearly made with AI. They fess up to this, but they claim that they write their own scripts.

I cannot definitively prove that they don't, but 1/x

Book 17 is Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner, a memoir centering Zauner’s mom

This book made me hungry with its delicious food descriptions. It also made me cry on an airplane. I like how Zauner ties food with memories of her mom and trips to Korea. Beautiful, honest and heartbreaking

Book 16 is The Mighty Red by Louise Erdrich, a literary novel mostly set in SD during the 2008 financial crisis.

This is the second Erdrich book I’ve read. I loved what it had to say about farming practices and the climate, grief and what we put on others, and love. Chapters were short and punchy

Book 15 is Zeal by Morgan Jerkins, a historical fiction novel about two Black families with a shared history & tragic separation at the end of the Civil War

Loved the historical sections on Nicodemus, KS; Chicago; and the blues. Wish we saw more of the romantic relationships while things were good

Book 14 is An American Marriage by Tayari Jones. This is a literary novel about Roy and Celestial’s relationship after Roy is wrongfully imprisoned for 5 years

This book feels very real, and raw but I also felt told that Celestial followed her own mind vs shown. The epilogue is so necessary
