Ive been loving that its basically two games bolted together, but in a way that feels very intentional.

Trying to find a Motion Designer job and it feels like most of them either require to know AI or to train an AI model. Its incredibly disheartening and is pushing me and coworkers who were also laid off out of the industry. We live in a fucked time.

Just played like 6 hours of Resident Evil 9. Its an absolute blast. Had a real moment of despair: no ammo, little healing and few options. I managed to turn a corner but its making me manage resources lIke its RE1 again.

Im out of ammo and scared out of my mind. All things as they should be.

My goal is try and find the sweet spot of player expression and character ability. If you come up with a really cool or moving thing to say, I want to reward that. But I also want to make sure the stat matter.

I like that! I tend to have the opposite issue where the player is okay at talking but the character has a incredibly high charisma. I try to ask for at least a general jist of what they want to say, then adjust the DC/bonuses/penalty appropriately.

How do you handle role-playing stats, like charisma/diplomacy etc? How much do you have what the players say matter vs how much do the dice and stats matter when talking in game?

People seem to always conflate not liking something with moral objectivity. There are plenty of kinks that make me feel grossed out, but they are not a problem. At the end of the day, if its a drawing or consenting adults doing something, my opinion on it does not matter.
