2. Growers who do not make wine have been most affected in marketplace. I talked to two retired vineyard owners who offered to give me prime Pinot and Cab in both Napa and Sonoma if I could come pick.
1. Many vineyards still have grapes left on the vine. Mostly grapes for large production like Cabernet Sauvignon.
I’ve been living in Sonoma County observing this wine production hub and have seen a lot of immediate changes as of late, are you curious to learn more about that?
An interesting observation. I think it has to do with how our palates have evolved, but I’m not sure that smoking is the only major contributor.

That Santa Barbara wine in this video turned out to be pretty rock solid. Good find.
I asked a Sonoma local if he’s ever seen it this bad, and he said “no!” and then told me he has 18 different natural wines he’s making in his friend’s barn with grapes he got for free.
