I chatted with David Huerta, President of SEIU USWW and SEIU California about the importance of unions in building an economy that works for ALL!

This is one of the MANY reasons immigrant rights groups, interfaith leaders & workers are holding a cross-denominational vigil, rally & procession tomorrow at 9:30am at the Placita Olvera in LA!
We call on nuestra gente to restore our faith in the future & demand we all live free from fear.

The charges against me are baseless. They are an attempt to silence anyone who dares to speak out, organize or demand justice. I will not be silenced. I look forward to presenting my case & being exonerated. Solidarity is our greatest strength as we fight their weaponization of the judicial system.

Today, unjust charges were filed against SEIU USWW President David Huerta, arrested while peacefully exercising his constitutional rights at an LA ICE raid.

SEIU members will not be silenced when our communities and rights are under attack.

But we are not afraid. We will not be silenced. We will not be divided. And we will not stop fighting for justice, for dignity, and for a future rooted in freedom and solidarity.

Across this country, families are being separated. People are being taken from their homes and neighborhoods by masked agents. They are being harassed at work, intimidated in schools, and detained without due process. This is not public safety - it is state repression.

I am being targeted for exercising my constitutional rights for standing up against an administration that has declared open war on working families, immigrants, and basic human dignity. If the goal was to instill fear, it has failed.

The baseless charges brought against me are not just about me, they are meant to intimidate anyone who dares to speak out, organize, or demand justice. I will not be silenced.

We are witnessing a deliberate and escalating campaign of fear that targets workers, immigrants, and entire communities. These are not isolated incidents, they are part of a broader strategy to silence dissent, criminalize resistance, and erode the foundations of our democracy.

I joined @bsky.app today because it’s more important than ever for us to raise our voices. Today, the Trump Administration continued its campaign of retaliation and weaponization of the judicial system against working people by filing charges against me.

I won’t be silenced.
