Honestly, I do agree with your view to a degree. I like HH and admire it's ATTEMPT at connecting the games, but reality is: they weren't meant to connect, not like that. Any attempt at implying that everything's been planned all along is a bit silly. Great for fanworks and theories but that's it.

Fully agree. The internet tends to always blow up and clutch pearls about the smallest things. Comparing it to the Sonic situation is extremely ridiculous. They're not remotely the same thing. Im also more concerned about the story. Teenager vs Dad drama is always hit and miss.

Different mediums, they aren't comparable in the slightest. Both are amazing in their respective formats. (Feature vs TV) The writing in the show is top notch, animation is subjective and matter of taste but it fits the style & narrative for me. You can tell the people who wrote it love Spider-man.
