I think if you showed the data without the overlay, people would have trouble identifying it as the Earth. Even if they know intellectually it's the same planet they're living on, it won't feel like home because it is completely unfamiliar. On the other hand, maybe that's desirable.

I am a huge fan of finding people's interviews or, if I'm very lucky, their podcast where they ramble about their research. Had a delightful time listening to a podcast about wild turkey behavior last week.

I've been catsitting this orange boy for a week. He has not learned to not run in front of my feet as I walk. To be totally fair though, I haven't learned to look down as I walk. I've accidentally kicked him (or tripped on him) daily. Coupla geniuses here.
