The Tories oversaw the degradation of UK gas storage capacity - 2010 to 2017.
Thatcher privatised the gas and oil industry - 1982 to 1986.
Thatcher closed the collieries - 1986 to 1991.

What is good is that a lot of don't knows are making their minds up.
These were posted within minutes of each other. So which one is it? Is it over or is there no end in sight?? Our msm is a clusterfuck. Guess Iโll check the news in another country to find out what is happening here.
Yeah, the press have been working on that for a long time.
They don't need facts or coherence. They can just say whatever soundbite they like for that day and find another one for tomorrow.
Farage is pro-Trump but Badenoch is just the opposite of whatever Starmer does.
I think it's more about the cost of petrol than the cost of electricity. I'd happily switch my car to electric but it's worth ยฃ1200 and there nothing I can do for that price.
In 10 years things will be different but it's not a government thing, it's private investment.
Badenoch has a simple equation - more bombs make the 'war' end faster making oil cheaper again.
Oh, and say anything the public will like but don't do a single calculation just say it for political points.
I'd bet if they poll it Starmer is doing 'very badly' even though he's doing exactly what the significant majority want him to do.
I also expect Labour's spending on defence is a lot less crony than the Tory spending on defence.
He is probably right if everything goes as planned on his Etch-A-Sketch.
Back in the 90s I recall thinking an inexpensive tape drive for backup would be really useful - a use once but keep long term thing. Then DVD storage came out with 10x the capacity I'd imagined - now outdated.
It seems that any 'permanent' storage system is only good when you have a reader for it.
Remembr 2FA has no real effect on confidence/phising scams. Ideally never follow a link to login but if you do (e.g paying using paypal) then never authenticate with 2FA.
Only put in the 2FA code if you are 100% certain you are at the correct website.
That's all amazing but that's not my point. There will be negative effects and you need to invistigate those just as much, if not more so.
I don't trust any chart of just headline 'upsides', Brexit was full of those.
Sounds like the Brexit plan, even has the same level of detail.
So there's been no changes in Scotland for 300 years? I beg to differ. I feel you may be picking and choosing the negative things from the Union and totally ignoring anything else.
PR sounds great but have you seen our parliament? The government vote for something and every other party votes against it. Surely you recall the last cooalition?
PR in the UK would fall apart in a month or we get a dodgy back-hand referendum on human rights.
It's a shame she can't just say that Trump's tweets have no meaning - he makes them up on the bog in the morning and contradicts them with his MacDonalds in the evening.
90% of government is mundane governing - you only get to spend 10% on what policies you want.
Labour do understand this and it's why Greens or Reform can't win - the coutnry would grind to a halt if they tried to do half of what they claim.
Dick wants to pump it out of the North Sea so we have out own supply but then we know exactly what would happen - they'd sell it all off on the cheap for a quick buck and we'd have nothing to show for it except pollution.
FT comments section this morning - saying what everyone else is thinking, right?
I saw this picture again yesterday and it fit Tory PMQs perfectly.
Quite apt given some of Badenoch's questions in UK PMQs today.
That would be a game changer - a range that is double the distance you'd ever need without a break. That means you can druve somewhere and back on a single charge - any further and you'd have to stop anyway.
Yeah, it obviously hurt her that she sticks to the script despite the answers as she tries to accuse Starmer of the same thing.
Ah yes but if you think you own the world you can play with it how you like.
Is this bad? It seems bad.
Some people like Starmer, some people don't. Most people have no opinion either way of him but probably wish there were fewer stories in the newspapers.
Sounds very cheap so long as nothing happens. If all goes well, oil and gas flow and nobody has to pay out.
