FamilySOS lost 100% of their provincial funding, funding they used for their Family Support Program. 8/10 families using this program were referred by CPS, the NS justice system, the IWK, or SchoolsPlus. This government seems to have no idea what theyโre doing.

Screenshot of a news article from The Post titled โRepeatedly getting Covid doesnโt build immunity, โitโs more like accumulating damageโ,โ written by Melanie Earley of RNZ and dated March 10, 2026. Below the headline is a portrait of leading vaccinologist and associate professor Dr Helen Petousis-Harris, shown facing the camera against a dark background. The article discusses how repeated COVID-19 infections may cause cumulative harm rather than building lasting immunity.
"Leading vaccinologist Helen Petousis-Harris says there's not enough awareness of the impact of COVID-19 on overall health."
"What many people don't realise is that getting COVID repeatedly is not like building immunity, it's more like accumulating damage," she says.

Tony Manciniโs โwe donโt make fleet beg for fuel, so we shouldnโt make the libraries beg for their collectionsโ line has been stuck in my head.
Buying less single-use fuel was in no way shape or form up for discussion in all those austerity talks.

Halifax city government is decidedly not real. Not only does the province not let Halifax set its own speed limits, a bill last year gave them power over transportation, and a bill theyโre trying to pass now would give the province more power over land use, and decision-making power over sprawl

historical oil demand vs secnarios
On the second fossil fuel crisis of this decade (and likely to be worse than the last, fair to say), a few small thoughts
First: global oil demand would be so much lower without climate delay, fossil corruption, oversized SUVs, western overconsumption. Everyone who pushed these holds responsibility

Graphic for March 8th International Womenโs Day. The Long Covid SOS logo appears at the top in awareness day colours. Beneath it, โMarch 8th International Womenโs Dayโ in teal and underneath in a lighter teal shade โWomen living with Long Covid and other invisible illnesses deserve to be heard, believed and supportedโ
โNo more gaslightingโ in orange italics.
At the bottom the image shows layered silhouettes of diverse women in profile, in different colours and hairstyles to represent solidarity and shared experience. A faint lifering motif from the Long Covid SOS logo forms the background. And at the bottom left text reads โ#IWD2026โ
Women are too often dismissed when it comes to their health told itโs โanxietyโ, โyour ageโ or โall tests are normalโ
#LongCovid is following a pattern many women already know. Women living with Long Covid deserve to be heard, believed and supported.

The service of reflection at St James's University Hospital gave local staff, patients and families a chance to "reflect on the sacrifices made" and recognise the ongoing impact of those living with long Covid.
There are an estimated 1.9 million people in the UK living with long Covid, a condition that has more than 200 symptoms with no cure.
Fran Haddock has had long Covid for three years and said there needs to be more awareness for those "living in this complete limbo".
Haddock, 35, said: "I'm still seeing new people getting long Covid and entering the long Covid community now.
"People are still getting sick long-term, like me with no treatment or cure and not knowing what my future holds."
