Finally finished my timelapse of the lunar eclipse under the aurora in Fairbanks, Alaska! Check out the massive substorm turning the ground green in front of the eclipse, too!

This is one of my favorite timelapses I have captured!

Think I got one mainstream media review and it was this. It was for their online site and it was glowing. But donโ€˜t think I even retweeted it. Anyway, here are some reviews from some wonderful people, including some of my writer heroes:

Screenshot of a Desmos graph. It shows many concentric circles which fade out at large radii like ripples or waves. Three colored line segments are intercepting the waves, and data about them is displayed. Two additional points measure the wave intensity and provide ratios of the intensities.

I put together an inverse square law #desmos sim. It includes two intensity probe points for seeing ratios, as well as adjustable collectors/receivers for looking at area and power.

Happy to hear feedback from #ITeachPhysics folks!

My brother fought in the infantry and lost soldiers in Afghanistan. The press used to report deaths before families had been told and I would check my phone over and over, scared it would ring.

I went to the inquest of one of his killed men. I saw his red-eyed parents, girlfriend and baby daughter.

Two days ago it was Elissa Slotkin. Last week it was Jerome Powell. Before that, Mark Kelly. Weaponizing the justice system against your opponents is an authoritarian tactic.

The only person not being investigated for the shooting of Renee Good is the federal agent who shot her.

Hello Bluesky - glad to finally be here! I will post EU institutional and democracy stuff, especially Commission presidentialisation, the (party-)politicisation of EU decision-making, inter-institutional dynamics, and the growing influence of far-right actors in the European Parliament and beyond!๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ

Two social media posts.

The first is from Keir Starmer and reads: โ€œThe UK has long supported a transition of power in Venezuela. We regarded Maduro as an illegitimate President and we shed no tears about the end of his regime. I reiterated my support for international law this morning. The UK government will discuss the evolving situation with US counterparts in the days ahead as we seek a safe and peaceful transition to a legitimate government that reflects the will of the Venezuelan people.โ€

Below it is a post from Ed Davey that reads: โ€œThis cop out isnโ€™t good enough. Standing up for international law means condemning leaders when they break it, whether thatโ€™s Vladimir Putin or Donald Trump.โ€

Agreed re stopping using X. We just need more of the big edu accounts to stop posting there and switch to here. There are already many, many small voices like mine on Bluesky, I killed my x account over a year ago
