Happy #FluorescenceFriday! Here is a mouse fibroblast with multiple thin membrane extensions reaching out toward its neighbors. The long (>10 um) extensions are a type of signaling filopodia called #cytonemes that transport signals like SHH, WNT, Notch, and GFs! 🔬 by Senior Scientist Hong Lin. 🧪 👩‍🔬

Has anyone else noticed that chips/crisps are rarely included in vegetarian grab-and-go lunch boxes? They are usually replaced with a piece of fruit, which is a bit of a bummer...at least for me ☹️

I’m looking for epic examples of the best day ever to general criteria for what constitutes a “good day” compared to a nothing-burger day.

This local Wolfdog joined an Olympic ski event and triggered the finish-line camera. This is Nazgul. He snuck into a cross-country skiing sprint this morning and raced the homestretch with some competitors before being escorted home. 14/10 someone get him a medal
