I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

listen i love ao3 as much as the next guy but ive seen people quit fic writing over the past few years because people comment and engage with authors way less, and then everyone still freaks out when ao3 goes down- if a fic is irreplaceable to u, let the author know!

it is awesome how it's just good on it's own without or own input or changes.
Catspanker from tumblr was so nice to throw the lineart of their Yokarun pic at me and I chomped down. I tried to go for a more canon skin-color, since I always just use the more earthy tone from my YH Yokarun. xD
