Parade Route:
The Parade will leave the Supreme Court of Canada, 301 Wellington Street & proceed east on Wellington over the Rideau Canal to Sussex Drive.
Turning north on Sussex to York before entering the Market.
Inspections are common and done on a cyclical basis.
This immediate area got hit by a flood last year and I simply requested that they ensure the infrastructure is in order and can withstand the expected volumes.
Residents & road users can expect some traffic/transit impacts in the downtown core tomorrow for the St. Patrickβs Day parade.

With the pending flash-thaw & rain this weekend, everyone is encouraged to ensure their local catch basin is clear from ice/debris.
Earlier this week, I directed the City to inspect the Kingston Ave culvert & all stormwater infrastructure in the area to be sound and functional.
Police officers supported by the Emergency Services Search and Rescue team are currently in the area of Hogs Back Park conducting a search for a person in crisis.
Air and water resources are on scene to assist with the search.
There is no threat to public safety.
The Rideau Canal Skateway will close tomorrow, Wednesday March 4, at 10 pm.

Every year, the City works in partnership with the Rideau Valley CA to prepare for its annual Rideau River Flood Control operations/blasting.
This work is critical to mitigate the risk of flooding along the Rideau
The OCDSB is circulating three schools/parcels to the City of Ottawa.

The broken watermain in Carleton Heights Park has been repaired but it required damaging the community ice rink in the process.
As a result, the outdoor skating rink in Carleton Heights Park is now closed for the season.
It wasn't the result we wanted.
