A boy leans over a console with a screen and buttons, and imagines what it would be like to be involved in a space mission.
This week Iβm grateful for museums and their curators. Took my son to
@spacecentre.bsky.social on Monday and it was great. Lots of interesting exhibits (MOON ROCK!) and LOTS OF BUTTONS AND SWITCHES TO MESS AROUND WITH. He absolutely loved it and has been asking me questions about space all week.

The only way to confirm if this is life on Mars will be to bring the rock samples back to Earth for further examination. Perseverance has been collecting samples and storing them in canisters, which will be deposited on the surface of Mars awaiting a future sample return mission.
