There are two magpies that live in the Big Tree a few doors down from me, and for the last few days I've watched them start to build their nest for their chicks. They both swoop down into my garden to pick twigs from the cherry blossom tree my father planted for me many years ago.

I love how loyal they seem to be to their particular areas! I had the same pair regularly visit all throughout last year. After a few weeks of no sightings I was blessed by a much younger visitor, which i am guessing was their baby! They usually live for 3-4 years in the wild 😊🕊

Cavan Coddle 🤣 In a funny turn of events he actually took over the cooking and made his first ever coddle! Turned out fab and he's a huge fan. Up coddle!

Today I, a Dublin girlo, will be making coddle for my Tipperary boyfriend. A rural country boy raised on beef stews and roast chicken dinners, I'm worried how he'll take the boiled sausages.
