One of the things I struggle with most, especially with my work behind a paywall: people telling me they want to read more football content in the paper, but there's no consistent engagement with the articles up on the website. People knock the paper for lack of coverage, but ignore stories online.
Yeah at multiple organisations, pieces we put a lot of time and effort into usually get a lot less traffic than quick news or more ‘clickbait’ type articles🤷♂️
Unfortunately this means my time at The Sporting News has come to an end, but I am very grateful for the wonderful opportunities they have given me over the past few years!
