I'm 38 this year and now proudly referring to myself as middle-aged and everyone is like "No! You can't say that!" Girl, I love the idea of being middle-aged. I live for it. There's nothing shameful about it. This is my peak.
They're also the same people who will stand up the minute the plane touches down because they can't bear to be onboard that long. Maybe you could stay seated 5 minutes more if you didn't needlessly board the plane half an hour early, I don't know.
I always think about my therapist's therapist. With the ginormous amount of societal anxiety and depression I dump on her on a weekly basis, in addition to my regular mental ills, there's no way it doesn't affect her too.
I'd like to put the industry in rice at this point and see if it can be salvaged.

Perhaps an unfair assumption but as I see advertised salaries elsewhere being downgraded, I wonder if the same thing goes here, and unfortunately, at some point, you get what you pay for. I may be wrong, of course. But I also know plenty of photographers who do a fab job in those conditions.
