The remains are all still there as far as I know including Mütter’s original collection. There’s a general air of wanting to be more respectful especially since these are remains of real people. No photos are allowed past a certain point in the museum.

I visited back in October, and I found it very respectful. They’re looking into using genetic genealogy to identify the Soap Lady and hopefully give her back her name and see what the family wants done if anything.
