Another day trip, this time to Marsaxlokk, where they have many fine fish restaurants, a bustling harbour, and bays full of interestingly worn cliffs.
Went on the bus to Mdina and Rabat today, to admire the fortifications and the catacombs, then ate kebabs at the harbour. As you do.

When I played that scenario, my Vulcan doctor screwed up a medical roll and the patient died. Handily I was a Vulcan so I wasn’t too fussed about that.
We’ve been playing this at home sporadically this past year. It’s also been mostly investigation, which I suppose is like most of the tv shows it’s based on. Combat can be a bit clunky so that may be why the scenario dodges it!
Final day of #Contingency. Ran Matrons of Mystery, where my hapless players fumbled their way to four bits of evidence by the halfway point, before doing a bit better on their dice rolls in the back half, before finding the solution (convoluted as ever) to the mystery of the Six Sherlocks. Hurrah!

This convention is amazing. I don’t know what the magic sauce is (chatted with a lodge mate tonight and think it is the way that so many of us are happy to be players or GMs, rather than wanting to be pigeonholed into one category or the other), but if you are not making it here, you really should!

It’s very tempting to watch the drama rather than interfere too much with it. I spent my time productively trying to get my brother married off in order to save the family home. And then reluctantly got married to save it myself. One day I’ll get a properly happy ending in this game!
