I spent 40 years dealing with upper Canadian (specifically bureaucratic) assumptions about how a team of NL consultants could really be better at what they do and the skills they possessed. I have been doing my best to support other writers on this platform. I really have. So the other day when I posted the cover reveal for my second novel, I expected a few likes at the very least. But I got zero. Did better on X if you can believe it.

The artwork for my latest novel (in bookstores soon) is stunning and I have to thank Merlin Star Press & Brian Branch (Branch Graphic Design). Explaining the details of a cod trap to those who don't come from a fishing culture is not easy. Especially when the view is from the bottom!

Well Paul...here's the thing. Your kind words & support kept me going through 2025 when I had all but abandoned hope of finding a publisher & began to think my writing was just obsolescent sentiment. You encouraged me to stick with it. Now I have a literary shortlisting, a publisher & a novel launch
