In personal news, my wife gave birth to a beautiful baby boy this weekend. His name is Layne, which was @iamtashafierce.bsky.social's late father's middle name. We are going to hold off on posting photos of our son's face for a while.
Here is the question that I asked of US Senator Dan Sullivan. I mentioned @marypeltola.com at the beginning, in part because it was true that we worked with her when she served in Congress, but also because she never gave a speech to the Legislature remotely as partisan as Sullivan's.

The final question goes to Anchorage Democratic Sen. Forrest Dunbar, who notes that Sullivan has said "yes" to Trump a lot but is he willing to say no, ever? Would he say no to the deployment of troops to Alaska?

Over the weekend, I attended the AK Democratic Party Central Cmte mtg. We heard from all of the D candidates for statewide office (Tom Begich, JKT, & Matt Claman for Gov, & Matt Schultz for Congress) & from the Ind candidate for statewide office (Bill Hill for Congress).
My company has an extremely generous maternity leave policy. Knowing I’ll have plenty of time after baby arrives has done wonders in mentally preparing me for parenthood. I wish all working parents were able to feel supported by their workplaces!
