i think voice training is actually hopeless for me and i'll probably never improve no matter how hard i try
I'm very normal about voice training lol
it's actually surprising how many cis women have androgynous range second formants like mine and compensate with a higher pitch and first formant
I spent the last 2 days learning how to use Praat to measure the formants of my voice / other's voices. It really didn't help me modulate my formants at all, but I have developed the completely useless skill of being able to listen to someone else's voice and tell what their second formant is
i think all i can do is cut ties with the community and do my own thing at this point. it really sucks losing what should be a support network of people with the same traumas as me, but at this point the majority of my trauma is coming from being repeatedly victimized by other trans people
I'm trying to fight the urge to complete shut down but when every time I try making friends I just get hurt by someone new, it's really hard to motivate myself to put myself out there. I understand everyone is dealing with their own dysphoria but I'm tried of people taking it out on eachother
I want to trust people but every experience I have reinforces the idea that I should not. I am deeply disappointed with the trans community as a whole; we should be supportive of each other more than anything. I've been hurt too many times by the community to really trust anyone anymore
