Last night was the last straw that broke *my* back. I had to finish a game studies paper, one that I've been working on for a while now. It's not even a boring subject! But I just couldn't. 11pm suddenly turned into 4am and I had made almost no progress. I had had it. I surrendered.

During this last grad school month I sacrificed leisure, quality time with my wife and puppy, I pushed back other responsibilities, requested extensions for almost every class and had one too many nights of little to no sleep.

My ADHD made me sluggish and now that I'm diagnosed and in treatment, i can finally work for hours straight. The thing is I continue to work at the same pace as before. Even worse, as I add more hours to my workload, I get more tired, which means slower.

With the barely enough energy to power my last active braincell, my conclusion for this semester is yet again that i need to work faster. My partner has always commented on my velocity, and she is right.

The fun part was that the surviving rogue managed to recover some remains and my wood elf was reincarnated into an orc.

During my first campaign (D&D 3.5) we got to a point in which we had to convince a dragon to stop pillaging the local towns. We were wondering if we should kill it instead. I, as a player, told my team mates that the DM wouldn't put a dragon there if we couldn't defeat it. Only 2 barely survived.

Today's May the Fourth I'll be merely THINKING about building this set haha. Maybe after I finish my paper and my scholarship application, and my procedural generation final, and my TRPG final 🫠🫠🫠
