I had 9 days of bliss there… but I was writing checks I didn’t know I couldn’t cash when I got home
I’m not a napper, but I had to nap every day for a week once I was back. Too real

Scrubs is nailing the vibe, early, but I need about 800x more Carla
I made it 90 seconds. I literally bawled when Judy came on screen in the waiting room
As we’ve made it through 5/6 of the initial Star Wars films (4/5/1/2/3, def the way to do it) I finally introduced my son to The Saga Begins by Weird Al on the way to school this morning.
Memories of listening to Running With Scissors on my Discman while riding the bus in 6th grade.
Brian Kelly was the worst LSU football coach of the last 25 years. And that's not even a close comparison.
Some thoughts: When using GenAi as a mood board you don't get sources. This means you deprive yourself from knowledge. You generated a location? You deprived yourself of knowing more about the interesting parts of the world and why things came to be. Generate an armor or costume? You deprived yourself on real world techniques, function, form and history. You generated art inspirations? You deprive yourself of learning about artists from history or lock out living ones from potentially being hired. Ethical issues of using GenAi models aside, one ends up making visuals mood boards devoid of reality and history. With it one deprives themselves from learning about our world and who is living in it, inadvertently making your work weaker, because of how detached it is from our shared human reality and history.
Been thinking on the use of GenAi for mood boards. Ethics and legal risks aside, I truly believe using GenAi as references deprives one of many pivotal things.
Here’s a blurb on what I mean:
There's just something magical about a Christmas tree and a TV being the only lights in a room as you fly around Hyrule through the power of a magical ocarina (or two).
IMAX confirms multiple Studio Ghibli films will get 4K restorations and hit theaters in 2026 🍿
Studio Ghibli is directly overseeing the restorations

The "insiders" be allegedly insiding
So on one board, a group of LSU fans impersonated a staffer at a school and fed fake info to UF board admins. That's where we're at right now. There should be films made about this insanity.
Please respect Steve Ensminger
The Paris Theater in NYC, at night. A waiting crowd of people stand under a shining white marquee that reads in black letters: “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery / Sneak Peak Screenings with Rian Johnson Nov 2 & 4”
Josh Horowitz, Rian Johnson, and Daniel Craig sit in front of a red curtain, speaking to a crowd in a darkened theater, smiling and holding microphones.
Was fortunate enough to stumble into the Sunday show at the Paris theater a few weeks ago while on a trip to NYC; couldn’t have loved it more. Can’t wait to see it again.
Congrats to you and the team, and thank you for taking the chance to explore something personal in this context.
THIS is how you monetize more effectively, not raising ticket prices: lsusports.net/deathvalleyl...
The message boards are freaking out
As a fan of college sports almost exclusively (a product of growing up in Baton Rouge and only being exposed to the Saints through my wife's New Orleans-based family), I'm realizing, as I read your posts, that I don't think I knew this franchise existed.
Haven't had this much fun on a message board since TigerForums (real ones know what's up)
I feel like there should be a class-action lawsuit for having been exposed to this
(My late uncle flew for Continental for many years, so she spent formative years on that side of the world, growing up in Guam. When they left Guam for Houston, she went to college in Australia.)
My first cousin lives there— she and her Australian husband moved there 3ish years ago. Her pictures are simply incredible— both from their home, and on their adventures. We aspire to visit them one day.
I'm guessing Sheppard doesn't fall into this bucket, because the potential is pretty clear? If he does fall into the bucket, him.
I think grabbing an up-and-comer with deep ties and a ton of potential who fits the mold I think many would prefer (schematic hire over CEO) could be awesome
So the new batch of Sesame Street on Netflix doesn’t even have a letter or number of the day.
Every day we stray further from the light.
College football is like the NFL now, where the hook is seeing High Number v High Number or Great Record v Great Record play. Not what it used to be where it was rivalry, conference race, all those sorts of things you knew about because it was important to your league/area of interest
We all read Sphere at some point, right?
I drafted this tweet in my head last night:
"Impeachment. It's an old-fashioned word, but it's a beautiful word."
I gotta keep it simple for my pops (he and I were on a YTTV family plan) otherwise I agree.
A few of my buddies have been on it, extolling its overall praises for a year or so (with some clear tradeoffs, like no DVR and a little longer delay compared to regular streaming). It’s definitely a good use of Privacy.com haha
Cancelled YTTV today. Going to be trying out Uzzu for a while.
I get the appeal of the LSU basketball stars wordmark; it just doesn't rank high in my personal affection. And now, Homefield has used it twice. I really was excited about this new line, but I wish they'd have put almost anything on the back instead of the stars wordmark.
I feel like Tiger Stadium has some work to do to earn this
And by that I mean, be way freaking louder. Been quiet lately.
