Toni was playtesting Undead today; while I was commenting and repeatedly stating the obvious things happening in the screen. Test level was a quick one, I was happy it worked this well, only one new bug emerged.

Next, I need to fill in some small missing bits, which is to add weapon frames for special attack pose, and for entering doors.
Then, I will start polishing all the graphics for the PC version. I will touch up the sprites, and extend the level art.
After that, I can FINALLY start making new levels.
Undead recap for February 2026:
-Implemented all animations for chainsaw
-Implemented logic for splitting enemies in two with chainsaw
-Implemented four new classes for ripped-in-half, crawling versions for zombies
-Implemented all animations for Rifle
-Implemented all animations for throwable rocks
Some late night art therapy (started last night, finished this night) #drawing
I found that a gaming news site had used AI generated images when writing about my game, based on my art, without permission. I sent cease and desist, and matter was solved. But becquse of this, I will no longer share WIP-material. Only finished trailers.
Yay, completed chainsaw reactions to all zombies - technically, I had to create four new enemies; crawling torso variant for each zombie with their own animation state machines and behavior. With this, the melee weapons are now completed. Next task: Rifle!

Remake (or, redoodle) of one of my older drawings. 30min, clip studio, rough pencil. I kept the sketching lines in by purpose.
My friend Mikko Huovinen has entered Neon Hawk into playtesting stage. This is playtester#1.
(Yes, its real beagle, not AI crap)
A drawing, 08-12.2.2026, Clip studio, digital charcoal, 90 minutes.
I finally added a feature on Undead that I wanted even back in 1992, see for yourself:
Damn I am pleased with myself π

I love Space Giraffe from Jeff Minter.
I still remember it as the Last "Next Gen" Game that truly blew my socks off, especially the acid mix.
Started implementing the chainsaw animations. Ps. If you like clips of my game, please wishlist too.

Been doing some drawing again
A drawing, 01-02-2026, clip studio, brush ink and bloated ink.
Character limits here are too short for my monthly recaps on Undead. Lets just say I added new weapon, lot of environment interactions, and fixed a crapload of emergent edge case bugs. For a full recap, please head to my discord server through the steam store page link. I will go and feed the ducks.
I asked Deepseek about privacy. It assured me that no information is going to be stored on OpenAIβs servers.
I wish this was a joke π

Mine is PC Engine from NEC.. what do I win? π
TL;DR : people don't want to pay for cheap AI generated trash that was prompted together in 10 seconds.
"Thereβs a feeling that [generative] AI is causing βa cheapening of the experience overall, and gamers are uniquely attuned to that,β"

Moviemaking in βgood ole daysβ : real dynamite on set, FX guy WWII veteran who might be nuts (playboy 1973 interview)
Complete demonstration on how 2x4 interacts with the background in Undead.

I went back to check my linkedin. It seems I accidentally started a world war III there. AI-dudebros vs. Everyone else. IT WAS NOT MY INTENT, but at least I made that fake-happy place a little bit more interesting.
Seems like I pissed off every AI zealot in linkedin π
@stinkyox.bsky.social did you cause this??

If we assume that copyright laws exist and are still being applied, I would predict that in a short time no one will be able to use any publicly available generative AI any more for any commercial project without getting successfully sued. Nintendo was right to not use AI.
