Sadly true
A roller coaster of people marked "Figma users" is being terrorized by a roller coaster going the opposite ways full of skeletons marked Sketch users, Invision users, Photoshop users, and Quark Xpress users
Memento mori
This was a flex for sure
Charles Minard's very famous map of Napoleon's 1812 march on Moscow. The thickness of the line represents the number of troops at any given time. Brown line going towards Moscow and black line returning. The black line is very skinny at the end where it reaches the left side origin. My favorite bit is when the black line crosses a river and gets even thinner.
Back when we had offices and people in offices hyped on visual communication, every creative director had one of these Minard maps of Napoleon's march on Moscow to indicate they were hyped on visual communication.
I used ours to indicate to the team where we were in terms of project profitability.
these little guys are super cute
clickens.chicken.pics is still working (for now), if you need a stupid distraction! The stupidest. It doesn't do anything, but it doesn't hurt you either.
This kid can write top quality comedy.
A note that reads "Type the whole night, Dad." with two small toy hands by the keyboard
7-year-old: "Dad, go to your office."
Me: *goes into my office*
Massive Birds of Paradise painting finally done! Whew!
Chicken chips dog treats from trader joes
These are now the favorite treats. I need to paint so many chickens to atone.
I can certainly get behind that.
Wait. What!
The word User is a level of abstraction and highly effective in the proper context. Fight me.
Remember, itβs only stupid if you choose to think itβs stupid. Also, remember that it will only work, once you want it to work.
Sometimes it would even be shorter than 20 minutes
Years ago, when in-office work was the norm, what I as a designer often did, was pulling a PM into a meeting room to hash something out on a whiteboard, maybe for 20-30 minutes until we had a good idea how to move forward. How do you successfully recreate this working from home? What are your tips?
How do you create diagrams and flows?

A lot. Apparently.
Nice commute

Happy Birthday to Justin Chancellor!
Happy Birthday Adam Jones
A really nice lady was talking to me last night, while I was checking out at the grocery store, and was explaining her garden, πͺ΄ farm, and fishing exploits. It was adorable as heck to see people open up and wanting to learn more about others. I love it. This is living.
