I would say the flower is the most important especially if you're not picking it and instead you're taking a photo of it to keep it for all your life!
Geese!
While USA is frozen in the ICE, France is drowning under heavy rains. So it's time to remember what migrants can bring to the beauty of a country. Sympetrum fonscolombii is one of the most migrating dragonflies, so, it is called the nomad dragonfly!

Next summer you'll be able to see that in the sand, be patient!
Parthenay is a medieval town with beautiful streets from the middle age, of course, but with its preserved hedges, sometimes, you feel about a knight of the seven kingdoms...
A wine and cocktail bar just in front of a car park, that's very funny! And a bit dangerous too.
Panoramic view of frozen trees in a winter morning, there is also some smog so the branches are fading with the sky.
For #ForestFriday I'm coming back in the last days of last year when everything was frozen in the forest of Secondigny in french Poitou.

Three images are good, the first because snow is falling in front of the red paint, so it looks more pink. The second with the reflection of the mountain on the pond. And I'd prefer the last for the long exposure on the water and its vivid colours, its depth. So I'm not a robot!
When you're moving the camera during exposure, I think you can also change the colours, because accuracy don't have to apply in that case. But for identification of a plant or an animal, keep the true colour is necessary. So be creative and know your limits!

#BlueBrewBooks
This is the book I'm reading now, Féroce by Benoît Vincent. I don't think there is any translation for this French book. It is about the search of a forgotten book related to the apocalypse, in the same time, it's a naturalist journey. The next book will be the South, in English!
For #Stunday I have chosen an almost full moon from yesterday. The cold moon is tonight, but there are a lot of clouds now! A day before and a day after full moon, you have around 95 % of its light, and it's difficult to see a difference!

Thanks a lot ☺️
The best "Marseillaise" (French National Anthem) in cinema ! and "Time goes by" of course :)
For those who are preferring steady images, I've also taken some static pictures of my fallen giant. Perhaps I ought to join a vomit bag with my precedent photos, sorry.

For these images, I tried to make the fall of this tree visible with a movement of my camera during the exposure. In Poitou this winter we have a lot of wind, but this was the only time with speed around 100 km an hour (62 miles)

A yellow flower from the Lily familly, Gagea Bohemica or the early star of Bethlehem is set alight by one one the last rays of the sun. It is surrounded by its threadlike leaves and everything is bathed in the golden glow of light.
It's too cold now, even on BlueSky! So I'm giving you a golden #CloseUp It's a protected species in the lily family, Gagea bohemica or the early star of Bethlehem. And it will be flowering soon, at the beginning of February.

A snowy landscape at the beginning of the day. In the front only a few twigs are emerging from heavy clods of snow. Behind there are some trees above a short henge of brambles. Between the branches of the tallest tree, the sun is visible surrounded by a lot of thin rays. The sun is still low above the horizon.
The beginning of year was very #Cold now in western France it seems to be an early spring, especially if our weather is compared with that's occurring now in the US!

Denis Olivier is a great photographer, he shoots in black and white very contrasted images. Some are very sharp realized with the best lenses. But he has a Holga too and he has a great talent to choose between these two cameras, each has its own personality!
Great, a french name! A place where sweets and candies were sold.
Three movies, not one, if my guess is correct... But one ring!
Ah Deer Schiller, and deer Beethoven 💙
A blue Dragonfly is flying in a blurry landscape of blue sky, white clouds and green vegetation.
Always for the #BlueMonday and the #BlueSkyMonday in the same time, something less depressing. It's a blue-eyed hawker, Aeshna affinis, taken in the moor of le Bourdet in French Marais Poitevin.

A river landscape surrounded by trees. Almost everything is blue or dark in this image, except some rocks almost white at the bottom right. The atmosphere is dull and foggy, early in the morning.
This day is told the to be the most boring day in the year, the "Blue Monday". To stay in the mood, lets discover a winter morning at Parthenay in french Poitou along the river le Thouet.

This is mysterious and even a bit scary, that reminds me the mood of stand by me!
A lake in the cold in the morning the shore on the right is covered with hoarfrost with also some turfs totally white, even one in the water surrounded by ice. On the left most of the water is not frozen except in the back of the image. After the shore there are a lot of trees with a clear reflection on the watered left of the image.
Frozen weather is finished for now in Western France.Anyway, I kept a lot of images from this period. And the end of the month could be very cold again, so, be patient !
It's name in french could be translated by :"Oak's dead leaf"!
A small tree has been curbed by the wind and is blocked by other trees forming a part of a circle several meters above the ground. On the ground another fallen branch is completing the vertical circle. Intentional Camera Movement creates a blurry impression as if you're crossing through a magical portal towards another place or dimension.
Through the magical portal.

Dried Sequoia leaves cast in a frozen pound. There are some cracks in the ice and a small part is inclined above the horizontal surface. The dominant colour of the ice is dark.
A lonely tree leaf is cast in the surface of a frozen pound. The dominant colour of the ice is between blue and black. There are some bubbles just below the surface.
After Christmas the weather was very cold in France, that was also the case on January the first when I spent the morning in a botanical garden in Poitiers, France.
I'm French and I know in Germany, the beret was the uniform of non conformist youth. And sometimes Spike Lee is also wearing a beret. But if you prefer the french version, don't forget the baguette under your arm 🤣
