Thanks for sharing. I can't count the number of times I was looking at the back of his head. A Winnipeg institution.
so ridiculous.
sell sell sell!
Very cool. I’m glad they survived and are still kicking butt as a label still making a big impact in 2026. It‘s hard to elbow in on an already busy Winnipeg summer, with a lot of disposable income running off to “the lake”.
Trade Nyquist now!!! Value spiking!
It was a very cool idea.
What!! Amazing!
Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings were such a joy and treat.
I don’t know! I think Six Shooter Records ran it - I think they would weave their roster in with other kick ass music to give the signal boost…but I’m guessing it was financially very challenging.
Oh shoot right. All so good. Rest in peace JTE.
Thanks for the tip! So many acts I’m not familiar with. Just like usual, and increasingly as I age, lol. Always a few pleasant surprises in the mix.
Oh I missed that. Are you wondering if that’s Roy Forbes? I don’t imagine that‘s him…is it?
Many vivid memories…Sharon Jones, Beck, Marty Stuart…
Father John Misty blew me away at Interstellar Rodeo (RIP). Looking forward to seeing him again.
it's terrific!
wide angle pub picture. bar to the right, patrons seated to the left. musicoan far in background near window.
Nice scene at King Cob. Always good to see you @bpincott.bsky.social
ah. bummer. hope you can still enjoy.
Where are you? Reminds me of making the mistake of standing in the sand to watch the sunset on Sanibel Island. Noseeums were brutal, and itched for a month after return.

Great to see @andrinaturenne.bsky.social featured on @worldcafe.bsky.social
It all makes sense!
Beach towels & chairs are out at Winnipeg Costco. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
a trio of men performing in a small pub with blue walls. one on double bass, one on acoustic guitar and one on electric guitar.
The Broke Spokes at Sookrams's tonight. Check them out if you get a chance! Jaxon Haldane (D-Rangers), Gordie Farrell (Farrell Brothers) and Grant Siemens (Corb Lund) really rip it up. Grant is playing his beautiful, locally made Beardsell guitar.
“People with disabilities were most likely, in the Probe survey, to believe nearly every aspect of the transit system is worse.”
This has been the experience of Project SEARCH students dependent on Public Transit to get to/from their placements.
Downtown is just harder to plug in to.

No, just wrapping up at the reh-fit. took peeks at bluesky between sets.
We live in a fever dream.
Good vibes, take them where you can get them tonight.
