BOTD, Kevin McCarthy. I got to have dinner with him years ago. We discussed INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS, but also the TWILIGHT ZONE episode “Long Live Walter Jameson.” That TZ episode is a favorite and I’ve written about it in an upcoming issue of CRYPTOLOGY.

RIP Sonny Jurgenson. Along with Joe Namath, Sonny was the greatest pure passer in the 1960s.

RIP John Brodie. An all-time great QB, he was the NFL MVP in 1970. Brodie went on to be an excellent broadcaster for NBC and was at one time part of the PGA Tour.

Last night Film Noir Foundation’s NOIR CITY Film Festival started in Oakland. Here’s my cover designs for this year’s program. I also designed the program’s interior. I’m honored to work on this every year, thanks to the Czar of Noir Eddie Muller.

Muhammad Ali was born 84 years ago today here’s my original lithograph depicting Ali’s KO of George Foreman in 1974 to regain the Heavyweight Title. This piece is part of the permanent collection of Georgetown University Library.
