Like many kids of my generation, this WWM segment (and Primeval) triggered a long-lasting obsession with gorgonopsians. Their presentation as dynamic, exciting animals reframed the way I imagined the time before dinosaurs. It was game changing!

Introducing a new Remodel to the fossil mod: Mymoorapelta, this small ankylosaur is from the Jurassic Morrison formation. and received a recent paper by Jim Kirkland which was useful in reconstructing this skeleton.

Been thinking about how to show off Fossils, so in the mean time have the Trossingen Formation, I'm really happy with how this turned out with 3 animals around.
Despite being ill I think this first formation #paleostream of the year turned out pretty good.
The Upper Elliot Formation from the early Jurassic of South Africa is an important piece for our understanding of sauropod evolution but beyond that it's just a really cool assemblage...

Have learnt from Andrea Cau that French palaeontologist Philippe Taquet died yesterday, aged 85. Taquet published a substantial amount on north African and French #dinosaurs, including Ouranosaurus, spinosaurids, the dromaeosaurid Pyroraptor and much more.
