i don't personally agree with writing off a highly-motivated faction of the resistance movement in the face of a fascist coup bc the poster - JUST the poster - didn't have a high resolution parking map printed on it, or didn't explicitly state whether there was a livestream.
a poster is not a pamphlet. a poster is a marketing tool that gives basic info like what, where, when & how to find out more details (i.e., website, social media link, etc.) in a visually inciteful way. it took 2 clicks from the poster to the website to find more info.

i'm all for defending people against misogyny, unnecessary hate, lies, etc., but implying fans who express any sort of discontentment are "not real fans" & secretly hate her is so odd. there's space to not love every decision she makes, creatively or otherwise, and still love her down overall.
on the subject of taywarriors: taylor swift is not a perfect person & that is part of the appeal for many. i'm tired of that particular brand of taywarrior that enforces this quasi-virtuous image of her, constantly chastising anyone who dares discuss her imperfections.

i still have X and i use a bit of moral self-licensing to help reconcile my use of it. i just try to use the platform for good (fundraising, sharing resources, education, creating a safe space for marginalised people, etc.) and put more into it than i take out. our community existed before
