GRAAHHH found a dragonfly larvae in the shrimp tank this morning, I felt like I could visibly see less smaller shrimp in the tank and I guess I found who's been eating them!! I hope there aren't any others lurking also how the hell did he get in

From the babies side, they seem to be figuring out that Trevor is for cuddles, not for energetic play fighting, and it's cool to see them pick and choose what kind of interaction they want from different rats. Such clever little dudes, honestly. The way they interact is so fun.

I think I can say that introductions are completely done and successful. I've noticed a big change in Trevor yesterday and today, he looks genuinely relaxed and seems to understand the babies only want to play, and he's not just tolerating them he appears to actively like them. Beyond proud 🥲

Rats in a cage. One is sitting on an egg box

We gave the boys an egg carton which they danced around and worshipped for a couple hours until Trevor crowned himself king of the egg carton, so I trusted them with a box in there overnight and they were all cuddling in it this morning. I think we are ready for the full cage + decor!!!

Almost finished my 3.78L (1 Gallon) jug of franks red hot sauce. 8 months, too long.

We've moved up to the big cage but with no decor, and Trev only seems to get annoyed when the young boys try and hump him. He diffuses it really well. I've seen him power groom database which was really cute. Email and Piglet take turns humping each other like an inch from Trevor's face.

Trevs kinda breaking my heart today 😭 He keeps coming over to me and yapping and it's like he's saying "ok mama I made friends can I go home now? 😃" and there's no way for me to explain to him "sorry baby you're going to live out your retirement being humped by frat boys"

We tried putting a hammock in but that was too much for Trev to handle lol. Baby steps, baby steps
