8th is off to a standard start, but let me take a second to address the communication between players during throws. Love hearing them yell at each other, especially Theisse's "You gotta go!" in perfect midwesterner when Dropkin needs to sweep like he means it. So fun to watch.
They got the 2! They so, so needed that. Just hold them to 1 in the eighth, force the extra end where US have hammer, take care of business there, and then stretch your legs out so you don't hurt yourself getting on top of that podium. That's the gameplan.

Shoutouts to the broadcast team for the hilarious use of arrows on the screen. They do the job they need to in that MS Paint kind of way.
Sweden opting to use their power play in end 6. Power play has the opening stones off to one side to open the house and, in theory, scoring potential. Weird they used it here, I'd thought they'd save it for the 8th. It's a bold strategy, Cotton.
