It was funny watching this theory after his blind reaction cause in the blind react he says there's no possible way to chalk the weird route actions up to the player because they're too specific and intentional. But then he does that in his theory anyway because he doesn't caaaaare.
Genuinely I think he just doesn't care about the stuff that happens to Noelle and he's just begrudgingly putting Dess here because he had to put her somewhere. He seemed way more concerned about "Kris would never kick Asriel" than any of the Noelle stuff.
This part is such a disaster of scriptwriting lol. Like the whole theory makes no sense but the writing and pacing of the video just breaks down completely in this one part. Why did he even use Dess as a segue..? It's nonsense.
He has no suspension of disbelief so if a story is meta he can't care about the characters because they aren't "real" even though they already aren't real. And he views this as objectively correct and doesn't understand that other people don't think like that.
You must've missed the video where he does talk about DDLC because it's worse actually. He calls the opening of the game filler and says if the game was gonna be meta horror it should be meta the whole time because he doesn't get that its horror because the opening makes you care about the charactrs
