I woke up hacking here, and sure enough, there was a high pollen alert on my phone.

Killing a bunch of elementary school girls to distract from having raped a bunch of middle- and high-school girls is pretty fucking grim.
There’s a story behind that involving a lot of emails.
::clears throat::
I’m listening to @ericluallen.bsky.social, but your thread is incredibly soothing on a very stressful day.
Also, I’m really glad I packed my Brooks.
Sometimes I think we’re wildly unlucky. But even walking 3 miles today to and from the mechanic was just fine, because @davegladow.bsky.social is my person. ❤️
And because it’s a Kansas road trip, it’s cursed and we’ve just authorized $2100 in emergency repairs on our car.
She refers to herself as the Harpersaurus Rex.
Gone pecan, because I love my in-laws and they need us.
Thank you!!!
You can't... repeal... a scientific finding. At that point it's just called lying about it.
We’re on break for Mardi Gras as of today.
I’m so sorry!
LIV GOT INTO BEN FRANKLIN!
Some news.
Well, as much as I hate orange and green as a color combination, I guess I’m about to slap a Ben Franklin magnet on the car come August.
She’s going to a university on the Tuition Exchange, so my bias is financial aid.
Okay, next question, because the OneApp for high school is deeply mysterious. She ranked Ben Franklin #1 and Willow #2 and qualified for both. So what happens next? Anyone know?
Oh yes.
I’m not 100% sure how the OneApp works with both tests, but she’s qualified for Ben Franklin and Willow.
An hour after I posted this we got the results, and pending OneApp, she’s in.
So how long does it take to get the Willow exam results? Any parents of older kids know?
Anyway.
My birthday was mostly business as usual, which I like, but I did get some fun nerd stuff.
And if you’re so inclined, I’m gearing up for my annual charity 10K in support of Youth Run NOLA: runsignup.com/caitgladow
Carnitas or barbacoa?!
That’s the Eat Tacos initiative.
I’m Auntie Cait to a med student right now, so she’d fit right in.
Ooooooh. And you know someone here on the downtown campus.
Also, hilariously and fantastically, so many of my Tulane Public Health colleagues are my neighbors and fellow volunteers!
Anyway, this photo was from 2024. It was also the day I quit my job, and the day before I started at Tulane.
There are a lot of meetings. A lot of financials. A lot of random things, like meeting set up after hours and pet waste disposal station refills.
I’m tired. I wouldn’t change a thing.
