It is my hope (or naivety) that in the future (preferably utopian) that the NHS will offer such tests as preventive medicine, rather than reactive medicine (assuming they are accurate of course)
I have seen similar results from UK private testing. Patients understandably expect tests they see heavily advertised to be accurate and meaningful. Often they aren't

Uta Frith's article on separating early diagnosed autism from high functioning autism feels very vague & more budgetary, than a scientific consensus. Hyper sensitivity is very real, disabling & monumentally undiagnosed. One could argue that the trauma of delayed diagnosis causes more complex issues.

Uta Frith recent pronouncement on how “high functioning” autistic people shouldn’t be labeled the same way as “profoundly” autistic people as they are just more sensitive, is not helping my internalised ableism. Just because I’m not as disabled as some autistic people doesn’t mean I’m not disabled.

It's criminal people don't have access to good counselling and psychotherapy. It's nonsensical if we want to be collectively successful as a Nation, not to mention more humane as a society.
My daughter has started to read Oliver Sack's book "The man who mistook his wife for a hat" one of my favourite books.
100% agree. I see many drug addicts in the local area and they are trapped within their addictions. They have no hope of escaping them unless rehab facilities are available and the trauma that is often a root cause for substance abuse is addressed.
The only problem with laws is having the resources to enforce them.
The pro's of decriminalisation is that you remove the gangs in part but it doesn't tackle the addiction or antisocial usage.
Even though I am not religious, the absence of religion in society has left a vacuum for Capitalism to fill. Instead of worshipping some almighty God, people have started to worship money, power and material. It won't be easy to escape our ever increasing immorality 🌎
It is isn't it and then there is all the crime, abuse and grooming that occurs within the illegal drug world.
By the smell coming from the neighbours, there has been a fresh drugs delivery 🤢
There is specialised housing for several groups but still not those who suffer with social anxiety and sensory issues. Poor housing is literally killing people and the authorities are trying to put a lid on the data.
