Ugh, this is intended to mess up mail-in voting. Every election there are lawsuits around whether mailed ballots should be validated based on the date they’re postmarked or the date they’re received, and this means many, many more ballots will be deemed too late to be counted.

Ok, positive sign that none of the major red flags are there! If she encounters a request for $ up front at any point, though, be very wary. Also: did she audition for this company or send them her comp card? I’m always super cautious if an agency cold-calls a model, because that is rare.
- Require you to pay for classes, especially at a specific place (same as with photographers).
- Lock you in to a contract with no way out for a 1-2 year term. Legit contracts can be dissolved within the first 6 months by either party.
- Avoid anything with language allowing use of her image by AI!
Scam modeling contracts usually have things in common:
1. Require you to pay for a specific “casting site.” Legit agents ONLY get $ when you’re booked (usually 20% commission in modeling)
2. Require you to get headshots from a specific photographer. This means they have a kickback agreement.
