I feel like my Session Zeroes have improved as of late, but they still could use some work. Anyone in the #TTRPG community any #Gamemasters have tips they swear by they want to share?
Thank you!! Something about reading the Daggerheart book is super inspirational haha
Kids on Bikes is honestly such a fun system. It can definitely be intimidating because of how stripped back it is, but it seems so easy to run and a great tool for creating narratives with a group
Definitely! I was thinking of focusing primarily on Daggerheart whenever theyβre in the fantasy world. Then, when they travel back and search for clues in the real world to discover whateverβs merging the worlds, we use Kids on Bikes
Iβm thinking of doing a Daggerheart campaign about people from our world who travel to a magical world, similar to the Persona series. But then? I feel like Kids on Bikes would be the perfect system for real world antics. I might do both
Iβve been playing TTRPGs all weekend (DMed yesterday, played today) and :/ I still want to play more
Happy Black History Month, first and foremost, I scream into the void at 9:53 PM EST because Iβve been away from my phone
My friend wants to do a party in celebration of my first ever one shot. 10 years of TTRPGs is wild. Iβm thinking of doing that one shot all over again honestly π§
Iβm learning how to play Daggerheart, and itβs so intriguing to me that so many of the rules support what me and my table have been doing for the past 8ish years
Of course! An Empire created a magical super weapon to break the sky and to use the gods of the world as a power source. The gods fell to the world and died, apocalyptic consequences followed, and the sky still looks shattered like broken glass!
The very first world I made for a TTRPG campaign was a world where the sky was broken because the gods fell through. My second was a southern gothic modern fantasy based on the Prohibition. Who knows wtf Iβll do next
Iβve been trying to convince myself that my thoughts as they come are creative or poetic enough. Maybe I donβt think so since they arenβt on a page or in a stanza yet. But the way people speak and think is more creative than we realize.
Iβve been reading Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison for the first time. Iβve read a lot of Morrison, just not this particular book. Itβ¦ is incredible.
But. Fabula Ultima, Draw Steel, and Sword World 2.5? Beautiful gowns, genuinely. Love those games as well.
I genuinely cannot believe that pretty soon itβll be myβ¦ 10 year anniversary? To my first ever one shot. Still playing DND and AGE π€§ I should pick up Daggerheart next
Literally came back to Bluesky just to talk about ttrpgs π«
last night i DMed a session of DND where i wanted my boss to have a Soulsborne feel to them. my players decided to immediately act like they were the Dark Souls bosses and absolutely kicked my teeth in π« it was cool as fuck though
