One of TEC’s past problems was the assumption that if ppl didn’t know our insider baseball, they weren’t worth knowing. The fish fork thing is an old metaphor for pearl-clutching back when we still boasted about things like that the most US presidents came from TEC.
Yeah - I don’t care what pronouns people use for me - but that’s my generation. I’ve put them on my church name tags because it does make a difference to many young people in our church.
I mean, it’s practically like using a fish fork for your salad!😬
It’s funny how Episcopalians think they’re more famous than they actually are. Holdover from our overinflated-ego/WASP days, I guess. Loved Frank, but he wasn’t universally recognizable.
But then we’d also have to be assumptive about pronouns I guess. 🫤
