Diminishing recreation opportunities is a bummer but the least of our problems. California is basically desert relying on the snowpack as the water source. And the Alps and Himalayas are not doing much better either.
It has very descriptive but unimaginative name: Behind the Rocks Wilderness Study Area.
It doesn't really ever get very cold here. Quite the opposite, the winters recently have been too warm to even ski much any more.
Looks like the Bluesky player doesn't show the video either. But the link works. Generally, I think we are at the mercy of what the algorithms happen to push to the big audience.

Well the minimum is the board, bindings, boots, skins and poles. But nobody will go with you unless you also have a beacon, shovel, probe and training. I also carry a helmet, satellite communicator and avalanche air bag. And ice axe, ski crampons and boot crampons when necessary.

Look carefully, there are three in there.
It is valuable when in the right place at the right time. Or very costly when it is in the wrong place. It is challenging location. So the tree removal company would have charged my neighbor arms and legs to chop it up and dump it. You can't buy beams like this so it is basically invaluable to me.
