Might actually have another good design idea, so tonight is everyone’s favorite game: Reorganize The Bits!

Has 1Password been getting slowly, consistently worse and worse for anyone else over the last few years?

Longer delays before anything happens. Login forms that are filled out incorrectly, or not at all. Or better yet, you hit that keybinding for "log me in"...and nothing.

Game designers: if you think your combat encounter needs more health drops, please eliminate every other option first.

(Trash goons with perfect aim in Echo Point Zero ruined that game. No amount of little blue hearts was going to save it.)

Wrong direction, IMO.

I ask designers at our events, β€œwhat do you hope to learn from this playtest?”

So, SO many designers aren’t ready to answer that question.

Just now seeing this, and the family wants me to apply. By what time today would you like the application/videos?

If you've ever admired the deck of cards I keep in my purseβ€”or the uncut sheet in our dining roomβ€”this is the deck.

WARNING: Buy at least two.

My favorite part of being a judge for @unpub.bsky.social’s Feedback Frenzy was hearing Matt Leacock’s terrible pitch on the game Pandemic. Made me and the audience laugh so hard πŸ˜‚

The best part of this generation of social media apps is their openness to new integrations. (I'll spare you the thesis.)

ACCESS to information from new tools is how we have always pushed tech forward. BlueSky will be no different.

(The other half of the thesis is SYNTAX...)

A British pensioner whose bland sandwiches gained him unexpected fame in China has died. Keith Brown, a retired engineer known on Chinese social media as
"Old Dry Keith", became a hit when his Chinese wife Zhang Jian began to post videos of him assembling the ham and cheese sandwiches he liked to eat. Chinese observers were grimly fascinated by his dry, boring sandwiches, and his gentle, stoic manner - and he built up a cult following. "We go from questioning the dry old man, to understanding the dry old man, to becoming the dry old man," observed one cultural commentator.
"The old man is us, and his dry lunch is our dry life."

This is still true.

We're currently playing through the "Punished" act of the game, and the soundtrack makes the boss fights feel EPIC, without the usual orchestral or metal tropes and motifs.

And then they randomly come up on Spotify, and the head bobbing begins.

For today, I'll stick with this:

The negative externalities of this election will be very real. Becauseβ€”and only becauseβ€”you signed up to be held accountable to the Christian faith, I will choose to hold you accountable, as will He.

Baa baa, motherfuckers.

[Go read Matthew 25:31–46 again.]

And if you're excited (or worse, indifferent) about the outcome, then I suppose I don't have much to say.

If that excitement comes from your religious beliefs, then I might have a LOT to say.

Well, this sucks. (American Edition.)

I support anyone who needs to take time to grieve and process, and I support anyone in circumstances that prevent them the time they want to grieve and process.

This is MY periodic reminder, apparently, that a 30-minute rest magically converts a sticky, unworkable mess into something that can be kneaded into a silky, smooth ball.

It also works for bread dough.

The Cult of the Lamb soundtrack did NOT need to go this hard. Completely unnecessary. Overkill.

Rude, honestly.
